CHALICE PRAYER

Mother, to thee I raise
my whole being,
a vessel emptied of Self,
accept oh great One, this my emptiness
and so fill me with thyself,
thy light, thy love, thy life,
that these, thy precious gifts,
may radiate through me and overflow
the chalice of my heart
into the hearts of all whom I
may contact this day,
revealing onto them the beauty
of thy joy and wholeness,
and the serenity of thy peace,
which nothing can destroy.

JAI, JAI, MA DURGA!

We are one substance.


Matter and energy,
Differing forms of the same thing.

We are one age.
Out of the substance of the universe
We are formed anew from what existed
Since the beginning of time.

We are star children.
The literal transformation of light
Into thoughts, feelings and physical form.

We are one life,
Plants and animals, we are part of and dependent
Upon the total that we are.

We are one people.
Though we may differ in culture and color,
In the core of our being we are all the same.

We are part of the process
Of the universe knowing itself.

4. The Yearly Cycle 2004


K E R R Y (11-Dec-2004 is a Saturday) is in #9, Mars Year Cycle

"... a year of completion, success and good fortunes ... success in combat
and competitions ... honor by society ..."

Honor by society came through the recognition of his heroic Vietnam record
early on the campaign. But Mars Year also "brings slight disagreements with
officers, and some harsh words" ... which might apply to the Swift Boat
Veterans ad campaign launched against Kerry.


B U S H (06-Jul-2004 is a Tuesday) is in #8, Saturn Year Cycle

"... good for politicians ... a time to gain success in worldly matters ...
good for gaining victory over enemies ... and winning lawsuits" ... (don't
challenge him for a recount!)

This should have been a year for Bush to win in Iraq and elsewhere. However,
there was no clear victory at the political-legislative-economic-commercial
level that I can remember of. The only success story is the election in
Afghanistan.

... it's a time to become independent, and rely on one's own resources and
judgment ... This might be a transformational year for Bush. The question is
how much a #6 psyche/destiny will want to change.
