Many people do not know the meaning of "Guru". The meaning of the syllable "GU" is "ignorance". "RU" means "remover of". So the GURU is one who remove's our ignorance. In this sense, almost anyone or anything can be our guru. Even our enemy is our guru, as they teach us a lot about ourselves.
Two great gurus in nature are the Sun and the tree. The Sun is always giving us energy, 24 hours a day. But does it ever present us with a heating bill? No! So the Sun sets a good example for everyone - always be giving, 24 hours a day. It also gives to everyone, whether they are good or bad by nature.
In the same way, a tree provides shade to all as long as it lives. Even when a man with an axe comes to cut it down, the tree will provide him shade as long as it stands.
