KAMALA is the 10th of the ten Mahavidyas, known as the Lotus Goddess of delight. She rules over love, beauty and bliss. KAMALA is one of the sanskrit names for Lotus, and the Lotus represents the principle of unfolding thru the different chakras in our evolution; particularly the Lotus of the heart. KAMALA depicts the water of fulfillment, the flowering of divine grace and love in ones consciousness as the ultimate state of being. Subject : Mantra Meditation Meditation, Sutras and Mantras - not yet fully booked From 03 October 2010 to 03 October 2010 From 10:00 to 17:00 Place : Ompalace, Owen Sound, Ontario - Canada Teacher : Christina Richa Devi This day is very meditative as we explore the potency of various specific Sanskrit mantras in a peaceful country setting, while visualizing the corresponding yantras which are here at the OMPALACE. Sitting and walking meditations, interspersed with instruction on pronunciation, sutras and shlokas (original symbolic texts from the ancient Hindu epics such as the Bhagavad Gita, Janeshwari, Mahabarata) will be discussed and explored in relationship to a meaningful connection for individual mantra practice. Mantras dealing with health, wealth, world peace, specific ailments and karmic purification will be given and practiced. The mantras we will be practicing are both seed sounds, universal and individual mantras depending on your own numeric vibration. The main focus will be on the GAYATRI mantra, the universal maha mantra of the Vedic tradition. The yantras of all 9 planets will be on display to enhance and encourage students to the full potency of this rich and empowering process. There are no pre-requisites and one does not need to be a painter or particularly artistic. Here we will examine the planetary agents pointing us to when you might move, get a new job, marry, conceive a child, or have a period of bad luck, divorce, loss, death, and all else that the human psyche resists. The main focus will be an in-depth examination of the relationship and characteristics of the numerological data, how the planetary friends and enemies relate, and what specific attributes they display. We will cover the numbers of exaltation, and the peak years, as well as the karmic retributions and the suggested upayas to overcome those obstacles presented by the mind mesh. Body chemistry and ayurvedic specifics relating to the odd and even numbers re acid or alkaline constitution will be given attention. A variety of charts and handouts will support the rich tapestry of completing the three levels of the vedic numerology education.
